Roulette Table Layout

The layout of the roulette table and the definition of the bets.

The roulette table layout may seem to be a little daunting to beginners but roulette is and easy game to learn.  Online roulette makes learning the game really easy due to the fact that there is a help file and mouse hotspots that tell you exactly what bet can be placed at that spot.

The main section of both American Roulette and European Roulette have 36 black and red boxes.  These boxes are numbered in sequence from the top to the bottom in three columns of twelve boxes.  At the head of the three columns are the spaces for the zeroes (0, 00) in American Roulette and the 0 in European Roulette.  At the foot of the columns are there are three boxes marked "2-1", bets placed in these boxes means you are wagering on one of the 12 numbers above that box.

Directly in front of these columns are three boxes marked with "1st 12", "2nd 12" and "3rd 12".  Bets placed in these boxes means you are betting on one of the twelve numbers above it.  For instance you bet on the "1st 12", you are wagering that a number between 1-12 will be the winning number.

In front of these box you will find six more boxes on which you can place a wager.  The "1 to 18" and "19 to 36" boxes are wagers on numbers between 1-18 and 19-36 respectively.  Wagers placed on the "EVEN" and "ODD" boxes are bets that the winning number will be either even or odd.  Wagers placed on the two colour boxes are bets that the winning number will be the colour you wagered on.
